Start by connecting the Mp3 player to your PC with the USB cables that came with the device. Your computer will recognize the device in a few seconds. Here you can view the list of drives, and by the external media section, you can find the connected Mp3 device. Right click and select Format, this will open a new window. Here, you can click Start to initiate the format. The process may take less than few minutes to complete, depending upon the storage size.

 

By Installing Player Firmware

Anther option to reformat your Mp3 player is by installing the player firmware from your computer. Go to your Mp3 manufacturer’s download website and get the latest firmware for your device. After download, you can connect the player to your PC and run the firmware installation. Follow the Installation Wizard further and reinstall the player firmware and to reformat your Mp3 player .
